The brief asked for an installation that would draw attention to how much plastic people use every day. It also had to be movable from one location to another.
The team proposed a mechanism. Passers-by hang their plastic waste on it, and the structure deforms under the load, so each person sees the direct effect of their own plastic. It works like a scale with no numbers. Elastic fibres are woven together with light-emitting fibres, so the installation stays visible at night.
